About

Andrei
Tanasie

This fine art photography project is born out of an obsession with light, landscape, and the mountains of the Alps. Behind every print is a photographer who got up before the rest of the world, carried equipment to places that discourage it, and waited — sometimes for hours — for a moment that cannot be repeated.

I am a landscape and wildlife photographer based in Switzerland, drawn to the wild places where light and nature meet in unexpected ways. My work takes me across alpine meadows, dense forests, and remote wetlands in search of moments that most people never witness.

Photography, for me, is an exercise in patience. I can spend hours — sometimes days — waiting for the right light, the right animal, the right stillness. The reward is a single frame that feels true.

Human Made

Every image
was paid for first.

Paid in early alarms — 3am, sometimes earlier — in cold starts and dark drives to places that don't appear on tourist maps. In kilometres walked with a pack that doesn't get lighter no matter how many times you do it. In hours spent at altitude where the wind doesn't negotiate, watching light that might come and might not. In trips planned around forecasts that change overnight. In the moment where you think: this isn't the shot — and you stay anyway.

That is what is behind each print. Not a prompt. Not a render. A person, in a specific place, at a specific moment, who did the work.

I created the Human Made mark because that distinction now needs to be stated out loud. In an era when images can be conjured from text in seconds, I want every photograph I sell to carry proof of something different. The fingerprint is not a logo. It's a record — that a human being was there, saw this, and brought it back.

Human Made

What I believe

Not AI. Not ever.

Every image in this collection was made by a human being, in a real place, at a moment that will never repeat itself exactly. No AI generation. No compositing from stock. The imperfections are part of it.

Made in Switzerland.

Every print is produced here in Switzerland, with local printing partners we trust. Premium archival paper, Swiss standards of quality — from the image to your wall.

The feeling matters.

The sharpest photograph is not always the best one. What matters is what you feel when you stop in front of it — that pause, that pull toward something larger than the room you are in.
